Step 1:

First, login to your SyncSpider account, click on the option ‘Integrations’ located on the left side of the screen as shown below.

Step 2:

Now, you will see the list of integrations offered by SyncSpider, select Slack application from the list.

Or use the search bar to find it easily:

P.S. You can also add new integrations while creating the tasks.

Step 3:

After selecting Slack, enter the integration name and description then click on the next button.

NOTE: You can have more than one integration with one app/tool. E.G. Integrate your Google sheet with business email and WooCommerce. Using descriptions will help you to organize better.

Step 4:

Now, you need to enter the webhooks URL and username.

Slack uses webhooks to code your own integration or process the data.

Click on this link to continue the integration :

Step 5:

Now, you can select the existing slack channel or create a new channel by selecting the option ‘create a new channel’. Then click ‘Add incoming webhooks integration’.

Step 6:

Copy the webhook URL to SyncSpider. Click save.

You will receive a message in your slack channel selected as ‘incoming webhooks’ which is the default message.

You can also customise the message by following the steps mentioned :

  • On the Slack-Webhooks integration screen, you will see the Webhook URL along with various fields as you scroll down.

  • As you scroll down, you will see the ‘Integration settings’ where changing the ‘customise name’ would post the message you want.

The integration is successful!!
